The issue being the immediate privacy wall on entering the space was bland and the stair case had left dead space visible from the front room. In correcting the issue i provided several options which were aesthetically different and utilised the dead space in a varied manner - The client was very pleased with the options and construction is already underway.

Being fascinated by design I think it only apt that the region I am currently in begins to influence my design principals. Having spent time in Dubai its history culture and pro-dominant religion have been aspects that I have had the pleasure of engaging with. This project was an initial attempt to exercise my design prowess based on what I had seen and learned from my time in the middle East, Inspired by Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi.
Rigidity and fluid motion form a foundation for growth, structural members intertwine to demonstrate strength, yet visually light in appearance. This enables SERENITY to adapt to most environments bringing its surroundings into a shaded embrace. The disposition in balance of architectural aspects and the alignment of contradictions enable the SERENITY pavilion to be fleeting in nature both in physical appearance and application.
